Social Media Manager
Location: On-site at our office in Toronto, ON

General Hours of Work: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Summary
Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for social media? Bather is looking for a talented Social Media Manager to support the Marketing Manager on projects that aim to share the brand’s story and boost its presence through all social media channels. The Social Media Manager will propose and lead the brand’s social media strategy and support the brand’s overall marketing objectives.
Over the last 10 years, Bather has become the industry namesake for men’s swimwear. As the brand expands and introduces new products and silhouettes, Bather is looking for someone who is excited to help introduce those products and tell their stories. This individual has the opportunity to grow alongside the brand and the team, and take the brand’s social media strategy and online presence to the next level.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media, marketing and PR, and fashion, ideally with an interest in menswear. Photography, photo/video editing and Adobe Creative Suite skills are a plus. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, a self-starter, entrepreneurial, outgoing, and willing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Propose and execute a social media strategy and support the brand’s overall marketing objectives
- Develop a posting schedule that maximizes viewership and engagement and that lines up with the brand’s marketing and campaigns calendar
- Manage social media platforms like Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest & Facebook, ensuring consistent community engagement and management
- Assist with preparing performance reports using Meta Business Insights, Instagram Insights, GA4, etc.
- Proofread marketing assets to ensure their accuracy and alignment to brief
- Create content and/or outsource content creation for use on our social media channels
- Coordinate the outreach of local and international influencers, publishers, and content creators to support affiliate and influencer marketing initiatives
- Participate and support various events and product launches
- Report to the Marketing Manager and other senior staff to effectively communicate the brand’s identity and vision on all digital platforms
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., marketing, communications, or other Creative Industries)
- At least 2 years of combined experience creating content, managing social media platforms, and leading or supporting a social media strategy
- Interest in fashion and menswear, experience in menswear and fashion marketing is a strong asset
- High proficiency in social media strategy and execution, specifically Instagram — Instagram Reels and TikTok are an asset
- Some photography, video and content creation experience, specifically for use on social media
- Able to work independently and take initiative while also being an effective team player
- Proven attention to detail
- Bonus: Strong skills using the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Lightroom and Photoshop
