SS21 Lookbook

Toronto, ON — April 15, 2021 — For Spring/Summer ’21, we are excited to announce that we are making the transition to using recycled fabrics for all of our swim and surf products. When Bather was launched back in 2013, our focus was on producing a high quality bathing suit with unique patterns at a reasonable price. We had always prioritized local production and environmental preservation, but we knew we could achieve more. As society continues to seek innovation and solutions for the decrease in the use of virgin materials, we were successful in adapting these new materials and technologies for this now staple fabric in our collection.

It would only be appropriate for us to offer our best patterns yet to accompany these robust regenerated fabrics. A notable office favourite includes our Acid Forest motif, offered in a matching camp shirt and swim trunk. This eye-catching, head-turning design is sure to give you that extra psychedelic pop of colour for summer. If what you’re looking for is something a little more retro, we’ve got you covered with our Hawaiian Tropics pattern. This decorative garland pattern is your ticket back to the 60’s and inspired from traditional Polynesian lei’s. This collection wouldn’t be complete with refreshed seasonal offerings of our homemade Bandana print and Stripe. All of our patterned swim trunks are now made using 100% post consumer PET bottles.

For those who are looking for a more solid option, we are excited about the introduction of our sturdy, yet silky new fabric for our Solids. Constructed from a proprietary recycled nylon, our solid swim trunks are a great companion for hot months. Alongside our fan favourite colours like Navy, Sea Foam, Black and Tangerine, we are introducing a Mauve and Pistachio option. These bright and vibrant colours are a great addition to any wardrobe, and will be the perfect pairing for any occasion.

As our brand continues to grow, so will our commitment to our product, our customers and our planet. With your continued support and help, we together can take responsibility in seeking innovation and solutions. Just because we are growing as a brand, doesn’t mean our ecological footprint should as well.
