Summary

Bather, founded in 2013, is a Toronto-based menswear brand focused on high-quality, sustainably-made, resortwear and apparel. Bather is looking for curious, talented, and passionate creative professionals to join the team as it grows and expands.

Bather’s flagship store is looking for a Retail Associate to assist the Bather team with the day-to-day activities in-store and providing customer service to our store’s guests. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter who is resourceful, detail-oriented and organized. You are passionate about retail, eCommerce and the fashion industry.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience required
• Able to work independently and take initiative while also being an effective team player
• Detail oriented and organized
• An optimistic attitude
• Interest in D2C brands, eCommerce, fashion and/or menswear
• Experience in these areas are an asset but not required
• Daytime and weekend availability – must be able to work Saturdays and/or Sundays (preference given to candidates who can work both days). Weekday shifts available on an as-needed basis. 

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service
• Operating Shopify POS and completing in-store sales and transactions, including returns and exchanges
• Directing customers to merchandise within the store, offering styling suggestions, and assisting customers in the fitting room
• Learning and communicating product knowledge, especially for third-party items
• Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor, including store’s fitting rooms and back storage areas
• Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers
• Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts
• Merchandising products on the sales floor to refresh and improve the shopping experience
• Preparing garments for inbound or outbound inventory transfers
• Pulling and packing online orders
• Assisting other staff with receiving new inventory shipments
